Gaviidae is the only Gozzard 37 currently on the market, and she is the first G37 to be listed in several years. G37 owners tend to hang on to their boats. With its elegant lines, cutter rigging and modified full keel, the G37 is a seaworthy hybrid of classic, salty character and contemporary sailing capabilities. Gaviidae has been the summer home for an adventurous Minnesota couple who are buying a Gozzard 41. Sailed exclusively in freshwater, Gaviidae spent the last two sailing seasons cruising Lake Superior and Lake Huron. Logging a total of 2200NM, Gaviidae and her crew explored most of the shoreline of Superior and […]
Black Rose is an exceptionally well equipped, one owner Gozzard 41 “A”. While she has been cruised mostly on the Great Lakes for the majority of her career as a Canadian flagged vessel, she did take her dedicated owners south on two separate occasions in 2006 and again in 2011. Each time the boat was fully prepped and updated for the trip by the factory and indeed nearly all the work and maintenance done on this boat since new has been by factory personnel. In 2015/16 she was prepped once again to head south but this time personal issues cut the […]
Grace is a lightly used example of one of the last G31 Mark 1’s built. The Mark 1 production run ended in 1998. This two owner boat has spend the vast majority of her life plying the brackish waters of the upper Chesapeake Bay and the inland rivers of New Jersey. She is in very much original and unmolested condition. With only 600 hours on the clock she is more than ready for the next adventure. Used as a show piece for an upscale Inn, she has been primarily used for day sailing most recently. This G31 also represents the […]
This Gozzard 44 has been sailed only in fresh water and has had the benefit of only two very dedicated owners since new. Coupled with the fact that her northern climate sailing season is less than six months long and that she spends the remaining six months in heated indoor storage protected from damaging UV and the elements, it is easy to suggest this boat has lead a very sheltered life! Sporting a brilliant Flag Blue Awlgrip hull, factory hard tops, new sails and canvas, she has a strikingly Bristol appearance. Most boats in her class brag about extensive refits, […]
Compression Post Kit… Installation Guide Lines As our fleet ages we are finally seeing some issues with the construction of the earlier boats… the good news is we are still here to help and we recognize the value of helping our owners to correct these and any other problems that may crop up in the future. It is good for all of us as it maintains the vessels value and in the process our reputation. At some point in our production run of the G36 (and maybe some of you can help us with this because our records do not […]
Welcome to our new 2017 version of our Gozzard Yachts web site. Many thanks to Christopher and crew at Lumin8 for the site development and a special thanks to Julie and Dan of Gaviidae, seen front and center in the picture below, for the help us populate the content. The new web site should allow us to be more active and create a better online presents and we are looking forward to a web page we can edit and keep current going forward. As with all new things, I am sure we will need to clean up some details – […]
Crescendo is a truly rare find. First – she is the only Gozzard Yacht ever built with an all teak interior and second – she is one of the few (if not the only) remaining Gozzard 31 that has lived her entire life on the Great Lakes… and we all know what that means – no corrosion! She was also the first Gozzard 31 to sport a dark colored hull – and as far as we know only one of two currently with the limited edition paint scheme. Her dark green Awlgrip hull gives this cutter rigged blue water capable little […]
