As you investigate the differences between the various manufacturers and their products, you will soon realize that there is indeed a lot of variety. The differences lay not only in intangibles such as philosophies, manufacturing techniques and design concepts but in things like materials, hardware and, of course,  finally their resulting cost. Each manufacturer thinks what they do is better and you see the use of words like "exclusive" and "unique" used by marketing personnel to try and convince the modern consumer that something is better...

But better than what? From our perspective, understanding what the differences are and what they actually mean is critical if you are to make an informed decision as to which is the best boat for your needs. As we try and explain what makes our boats different in the following sections, we will highlight the details of a Gozzard Yacht and why we think it is one of the best cruisers currently available. With that said, we would like to premise the following sections by saying that every thing in a yacht is a compromise and each manufacturer is attempting to find the right balance between the issues... not the least being the final cost of the product. The old adage that "you get what you pay for" is often true and perhaps more to the point. Allowing the consumer to see both sides of an issue will empower them to decide for themselves if they would rather have the perfect boat built exclusively for them or be satisfied by simply selecting a boat that most closely fits their needs.
