“Rejoice” is a late 1986 Gozzard 36A that has spent her entire service life on Chesapeake Bay (which means to say she has been hauled out on a regular basis and stored on the hard during the winter months).
This is a two owner boat that has recently seen some pretty extensive upgrades. In 2007/8 upgrades included a complete Sealand Vacuflush sanitation system including holding tank in addition to reworking all plumbing and primary wiring, replacing the fresh and sea water pumps, replacing the refrigeration system, new upholstery, replacing all standing rigging, reworking the cockpit sole, rebuilding the windlass, Awlgrip stripes and a complete bottom peel with new Vinylester bottom (which is an upgrade that is better than new).
In 2010 the boat received new canvas, new Raymarine C Series electronics, drip-less shaft seal, new batteries and more… The G36A features a Honduran Mahogany interior which has obtained a truly remarkable and beautiful patina over the last 25 years and this boat even has the original Gozzard 8’ laps strake dinghy still with her inventory.
The Westerbeke 46 four cylinder diesel has new injectors and hoses and only 1700 hours on the clock. Rejoice is currently traveling the inter-coastal waterways and is fully functional and completely reliable… the owners are moving into a larger vessel. The boat was recently surveyed for insurance (and approved) in 2010.
